TX to counter polygamist ruling
Texas is headed to the state's Supreme Court. It will argue against yesterday's Court of Appeals' ruling that it had no right to take FLDS children away from their parents. (Child Protective Services believes underage girls are being instructed to have sex with and marry much older men.)
I wonder which is worse for the kids: being ripped away from everything you know? Or living the only way you know, with perverse cultural practices and an even more perverse fashion sense? (Jordans with a tangerine prairie dress? Yikes.)

While I don't necessarily agree with this sect's stance on young women marrying much older men, I do uphold their rights to do so. In our culture there are many things that are taboo and we often pass judgement on those that go against the grain.
I would hasten to say that if this religious order is forcing the marriage of younger women to much older men, then that is something else altogether; however, we don't know that.
On a side note: I disagree more with the dress and the shoes their sexual mores and religious beliefs.
