Meanwhile, the newly single Jessica Simpson practically forces ex-Tony Romo to her sister's wedding, apparently to save face. (Because going solo would be waaay too humiliating.) Jess's divorce and subsequent dating disasters have even led people to compare her to breakup queen Jennifer Anniston. You know, the former Mrs. Brad Pitt. The same Brad Pitt who happens to be happily awaiting the birth of his twins with sex symbol, Oscar winner, and UN Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie.
Are all guys really that happy after ending a relationship? Not according to a Statistics Canada study. It found that men are more likely than women to become depressed after a marriage or common-law relationship ends.
Somewhere Clooney is crying his eyes out.

I read that Jessica Simpson "reunited" with her boyfriend for the wedding because People magazine required that they both be there in order for the mag to cover the wedding (since big sis was considered 'A' list and lil' sis was not....). It certainly adds more pressure for women stars when the media is watching their every move. I also think it's a matter of who has the perceived power in a relationship (which is usually--but not always--the men). In spite of Britney's downward spiral in the last year, the public response was 'thank god you dumped that loser' when K-fed was out the door. Though perhaps people are rethinking their lack of sympathy for him...
