Not since Humphrey the whale made his debut in 1985, has a humpback dominated the nation's hearts and news waves. Now a new generation has their own wayward whales to claim, Delta and Dawn, the wounded mother/son whale duo who triumphantly returned to the ocean after being stuck in the Sacramento Delta.

Despite constant news coverage, there was one issue at hand that no-one dared to address until NOW: deadbeat whale dads.

So, we at the NSRC, hired an investigative reporter to see where Dawn's baby daddy was during this horrible ordeal and were shocked by what they found:
